Interests help you stay up to date with personal interests like news, stocks, and local weather, so you always have the latest information on the topics you care about.
Once you've added interests, Bing tracks them for you and shows related news and updates on the Bing homepage.
Right now, you can track four major interests on Bing: news, weather, finance, and flights. We'll be adding to those interests to continue making your Bing experience more personal and relevant.
You'll see your interest tiles on the Bing homepage. On MSN, you'll see updates on pages related to your interests. For example, if the MSFT stock price is an interest, you'll see updates on MSN Money. On Windows Phone 8.1, you'll get updates on your phone.
You can add interests by clicking on the star next to any search result, or by selecting Add Interest.
From a search result, click Manage how you track this Interest, or go to My Interests. Select the interest you’d like to remove and click Delete.
To turn off your interests and stop receiving updates, go to Settings and click Turn off.
Go to Bing Settings, then click Personalization. Under Interests, click Clear.
When you sign up for interests, you'll see a few starter interests, like weather and headline news. You might also see interests related to information you’ve provided to other apps or programs that you’ve linked to your Microsoft account, like Cortana or MSN. You can add or delete interests any time.
Bing doesn’t use your interests information to show you targeted ads.
A Microsoft account connects your devices and accounts seamlessly, so you’ll always see your interests on any desktop browser, as long as you’re signed in.
To see your interests, you must be signed in with your Microsoft account.
You can use interests and Bing Rewards at the same time, but you'll need to sign up for interests and Rewards separately.
If you're not already using interests or Bing Rewards yet, you might be prompted to join both when signing in with your Microsoft account. You can always opt in or out to either experience from this page:
