Create Call Extensions

Learn how to create a Call Extension with a call forwarding number in Microsoft Bing Ads Editor v11 that makes it easy to track the performance of your ad.

Not everyone has this feature yet. If you don’t, don’t worry. It’s coming soon.

Want customers to contact you quickly with just a click or a call? Just include a link to your company's phone number using a Call Extension.

Create a single Call Extensionexpando image
  1. Select the campaign from the tree view in the left panel you want to add a Call Extension to.
  2. Select Call Extensions under Ads and extensions from the type list in the left panel.
  3. In the Edit the selected Call Extension pane, select the Country Region.
  4. Enter your Phone number.
  5. Select where you want to Show my Call Extension and select if you want to show a local or toll-free number.
  6. Select how you want to Show these links.

  1. Select the campaign from the tree view in the left panel you want to add a Call Extension to.
  2. Select Call Extensions under Ads and extensions from the type list in the left panel.
  3. Click Make multiple changes in the Manager pane and select Add/update multiple Call Extensions.
  4. In the Make multiple Changes dialog box, do one of the following:
    • If the data you are going to add includes campaign names, select My Call Extensions data includes campaign names.
    • If the data you are going to add does not include campaign names, in the Select location box, select the campaigns that you want to add the Call Extensions to.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If you want to use the suggested headings, click Insert headings.
    • If you want to use your own headings, in the first row of the text box, type the heading of each column, such as Call Tracking Enabled.
  6. In the text box, do one of the following:
    • Paste your Call Extensions data into the box using tabs as delimiters.
    • Type the data for one link per line, using tabs to move to the next column.
  7. If you want to change the headings, click Edit headings... and select the desired headings in the drop down boxes.
  8. Click Next.
  9. On the Import completed page, after you review your changes, click Close.
Note

To activate changes that you make in Bing Ads Editor, you must post them to your Bing Ads account.
