Segment your data in Bing Ads

Segmentation

Have you ever wondered how your campaigns are performing by device, time, network, or ad position? Currently, you need to go to the Reports page to get this data and manually create a pivot. With the new segmentation feature, you'll be able to split your rows and get deeper insights, right in the Campaigns page. Slice your campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, and ad extensions data by various attributes, including:

  • Time: Day, week, month, quarter, year, or day of the week
  • Network
  • Device
  • Top vs. Other

Start using segmentation by clicking the Segment button above the table, and selecting an attribute you would like to apply to your data. Segmentation will also be available when you download your data from the table.

Agencies can manage insertion orders for all of their clients

If you are an agency managing a client’s account, making sure that your client has an active insertion order just got easier. Agencies can now create, edit, approve, and cancel insertion orders on behalf of their clients, even when the client is the one who pays the bills (the bill-to customer). The agency user must be either a Super Admin or a Standard User. For more information, see Getting started as an agency with Bing Ads.

Standard User: A new user role for more flexibility

Do you invite users to help manage your Bing Ads account? You now have a new option: the Standard User role. This role gives a user permission to manage campaigns and perform some billing activities on specific accounts. To see a detailed description of user roles and the process for inviting someone to view or manage your accounts, see How do I give someone access to my Bing Ads account?

Expanding auto-tagging and tracking parameters

We understand how important it is for you to gain additional insights about how people got to your website. To support you, we made improvements to both auto-tagging and custom parameters:

  • We expanded the scope of auto-tagging to include Bing Shopping Campaigns and Image Extensions. Now, once you turn on auto-tagging at the account level, we add UTM tags to the destination URLs for text ads, keywords, Bing Shopping Campaigns, Image Extensions, and Sitelink Extensions automatically. Learn more
  • Three new tracking parameters — {Campaign}, {AdGroup}, and {Network} — can now be added to your destination URLs to help you quickly determine where your ads are appearing and what is triggering them to appear. Learn more
