Using credit and debit cards to pay your charges
Learn which type of credit and debit cards you can use as a payment method, restrictions on chip and PIN security, and more.
You can use credit cards or debit cards to pay your account charges or to add funds to a prepay account. A card (or other payment method) is not required to sign up for a Bing Ads account, but you
do need to add a card or other payment method before your ads display on search results pages.
We accept VISA, MasterCard, and in some markets, American Express and Discover Network.
We can't accept credit or debit cards that require you to enter a PIN/security verification to make a payment, such as VISA VSDC, MasterCard MChip, American Express AEIPS, and JCB J Smart.
- Prepaid cards can only be used to fund prepay accounts anywhere, except India.
When you add a card, make sure the card has been activated and you can charge online payments with it, and that it's credit limit is high enough to cover your monthly budget.
For accounts that are billed in Indian Rupees (INR), we accept VISA and MasterCard; there are additional requirements for payments made by credit or debit cards. For more info, see the India section of How do I pay for Bing Ads?.
Authorization for Bing Ads to charge your primary payment method is part of the Bing Ads Terms and Conditions.
If a credit or debit card payment is declined, accounts using the card will be placed on Hold. Ads for these accounts will not be displayed. To learn more, see Account errors.
