How do I use Campaign Planner?

Campaign planner is a marketplace insight tool in Bing Ads which shows top-down view of performance data at the vertical, product, and keyword levels.

Campaign planner is a marketplace insight tool that gathers data from Bing and then allows you to research:

  • Top-down view of performance data at the vertical, product, and keyword levels
  • Search traffic trending and forecasting
  • Industry benchmarks and key competitor performance
This helps you to find investment opportunities, adjust campaign strategies, and increase marketplace efficiency. There are three main pages and then you can drill down into the metrics for each one.
NameWhat you can do
Vertical InsightsAllows you to see the vertical or industry trends. You can also select a specific product to learn more about it.
Product InsightsAllows you to see the product trends on the Summary tab, what the top advertisers are doing at the product level on the Competition tab, and what are the top performing keywords on the Keyword tab. You can also select a keyword to learn more about it.
Keyword InsightsAllows you to see the keyword trends on the Summary tab and what the top advertisers are doing at the keyword level on the Competition tab.

If you find a product that you want to track, you can add it as a favorite and then you can easily scan the metrics for that product on the My Favorite Products page.

  1. Click the Tools menu and then Campaign Planner.
  2. Use the left navigation to select a vertical and then in the table select a product. You can also search for a product.
